I have always known that I wanted a career in health care and was lucky enough to find psychology when I was attending Coe for my bachelor's. After some great recommendations from my professors I found OT and immediately knew it was what I was meant to do! Life mantra or words to live by: "You're off to great places. Today is your day. Your mountain is waiting, so get on your way!"-Dr. Seuss An interesting place you've visited or lived: I was able to take a May Term trip to Ireland and it was amazing! Interesting jobs you've worked in the past: In between my undergrad and grad school careers I worked at River Hills in Cedar Falls. It was a great experience and I'm so glad I had the chance to do it!
Favorite sport or activity you like to do: I love playing golf and water skiing. For a superpower, which would you choose: invisibility or ability to fly? Special hobby you love to do: I am on the Waterhawks Ski Show Team so competitive show skiing is one of the hobbies I love most. I love the challenge, the thrill, and the fact that it is definitely a family sport; my grandparents, parents, brother, and uncle are all involved as well!
Dog person or cat person? Dog person Why did you join the Spectrum Project? My classmate and friend Michala did it last year and after hearing her talk about it and seeing her excitement, I thought it would be a great experience for me, as well! I am interested in working in pediatrics in the future so I believe this will be a great opportunity for me to develop skills in working with children as well as working on a team. |
